The children thoroughly enjoyed our whole class trip to Birtley Library this morning. They got to explore the new library renovations and share some special stories in their cosy dens. We then got read to by the Librarian Paul, he read us the story 'The Treekeepers' by Gemma Koomen. It was a wonderful story that the children really enjoyed. We then got gifted the special signed edition of the book to share back at school. After that, we got to borrow some books that we can enjoy reading with the older children back at school. The children were super sensible on the walk to and from school and showed great road safety skills remembering our stop, look, listen and think rule. We can't wait to visit again and enjoy lots more amazing stories!
