At Birtley East Community Primary School, we believe that we provide a safe and inclusive community where all of our pupils have high aspirations, achieve to a high standard, are able to develop their  self confidence and have positive values and beliefs.
Our school is built on positive, respectful relationships. Manners and politeness is key and everyone has a caring attitude towards one another. We intend to provide all of our pupils with the skills they need to build these positive relationships both in school and at home along with in the wider community.
Our curriculum is based on the ‘Jigsaw’ scheme of work and promotes not only the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils but enables our children to learn how to be safe and develop healthy relationships with when they are taught about Relationships and Sex Education.
