Welcome to Birtley East Nursery

For this term your children will be working with Mrs Linfield, Miss Armstrong and Miss Farrer in Birtley East Primary School Nursery class. 

This Autumn term, the children will be exploring the ‘Great Outdoors’ and taking part in Science Recycling Week in October! 

The children will be able to explore the nursery outdoor environment and have many opportunities to explore and extend their own play, building bird hides, to observe the birds, making bird feeders and explore the wider school grounds, with wonderful welly walks! The children will also be watching closely at the changes that will take place as the seasons change from Autumn to Spring. 

As part of our Personal Development curriculum we will begin to learn about our special loved ones and our families. We will also begin to explore our own ‘Dreams and Goals.’ The children will begin to think about what type of person they would like to be as they start to grow up and go into the wider community. We will explore their aspirations for the future.
